I’m Katie Carswell or as my family calls me “Buggy.” I have loved baking (& eating) since I discovered the @foodnetwork in the seventh grade.  

I am a middle school Family and Consumer Science teacher by day & a baker by night. I spend my weekends looking for recipes, cooking, and asking my husband to be my taste tester. 

If I’m not baking, you can find me hanging out with my family, watching Friends, or curled up with a good book.

I have been testing and tasting recipes for fun and am so excited to share my favorites with you! 

You’re probably wondering why Buggy’s Bakery...

My whole life my family has called me Bug. But as soon as my oldest niece and nephew were able to talk, they started calling me “Buggy” and it has stuck. 

I am an aunt to multiple multiples (yes you read that right). One of my sisters has twins plus an infant and my other sister has triplets. And being their Buggy is one of my most cherished roles to date. 

Any time I get the chance, I bake with them or bring them sweet treats. I love being the person who gets to sugar them up 

My tiny taste testers will make many appearances on Buggy’s Bakery!
